Predstave trenerjev mladih atletov o pomembnih značilnostih trenerja in učinkovitih trenerskih vedenjih

Povzetek: Trener in njegova ravnanja imajo velik vpliv na otroke v najbolj občutljivih obdobjih njihovega razvoja. Od trenerskih vedenj je v veliki meri odvisna kakovost otrokovega razvoja na telesnem, kognitivnem, socialnem, psihološkem in emocionalnem področju. Namen naše raziskave je bil opredeliti lik slovenskega trenerja mladih športnikov z vidika značajskih lastnosti ter učinkovitih trenerskih vedenj, ki otrokom omogočajo uživanje v varnem ukvarjanju s športno dejavnostjo. V vzorec smo vključili osem atletskih trenerjev, ki se ukvarjajo z otroško vadbo, in jih intervjuvali z uporabo polstrukturiranega intervjuja preko Zooma. Trenerji so odgovarjali na štiri sklope vprašanj. Vsa so se nanašala na skupino atletov, starih od 9 do 11 let. Vsebino intervjujev smo dobesedno prepisali in jo obdelali s kvalitativno vsebinsko analizo. Misli smo najprej odprto kodirali, nato pa smo sorodne združili v kategorije in jih opisali. Potrdili smo velik pomen trenerjevega značaja in lastnosti, kot so prijaznost, iskrenost, toplina itd. Trenerjev značaj je po mnenju slovenskih atletskih trenerjev tudi ključni dejavnik kakovosti odnosa trener-športnik. Čeprav je atletika individualni šport, trenerji prepoznavajo velik pomen skupine, sklepanja prijateljstev, medsebojne pomoči in vzajemnega spoštovanja. Kljub temu da ima trener predvsem v obdobju otrokovega razvoja zelo pomembno vlogo, imajo velik vpliv na povezanost skupine, samozavest vadečih in njihovo motivacijo tudi vrstniki. Ker velja pri otrocih užitek za najpomembnejši motiv pri ukvarjanju s športom, je ustrezno, da trenerji poudarjajo usmerjenost k izvedbi naloge, in sicer na način, da spodbujajo lastno primerjavo, napredek, učenje ter vlaganje truda.
