Anksiozne motnje pri otrocih in mladostnikih

Povzetek: Anksioznost je ena izmed najpogostejših duševnih motenj v otroštvu in mladostništvu. Če se anksioznih motenj ne zdravi, se simptomi sčasoma stopnjujejo in nadaljujejo v kasnejša razvojna obdobja. Pri zdravljenju je ključna čim zgodnejša obravnava, saj je za osebe z nezdravljeno anksiozno motnjo značilna manjša učna učinkovitost, opustitev šolanja in socialna izolacija. Učinkovita metoda zdravljenja je kognitivno-vedenjska terapija, glavna načela smo povzeli v tem članku.
